The presentation provides an overview of the many new types of content the portal can display via “corner links,” “quick links,” and the news feed, and demonstrates their use cases. As a highlight, shown as a preview at the Summit, it introduces the new permission management based on roles or rules instead of group memberships, making it significantly easier to tailor content to roles such as “parents/guardians” or to specific permissions.

New and exciting features are being developed for the administration of users and groups with Nubus, which are examined in more detail in this presentation: the recycle bin function allows easy restoration of deleted users or groups; the new delegated administration enables permissions to be assigned to parts of the directory service without the limitations of LDAP ACLs; and thanks to single sign-on integration with an external IDP, administrative accounts can be secured in a second domain.

How can schools ensure digital communication with legal guardians in a secure, centralized, and GDPR-compliant way? UCS@school presents the new centralized role, and itslearning provides an outlook on how it will be used in 2026 when integrated with UCS@school.

With the “univentionObjectIdentifier,” the “Provisioning Stack” now also available on UCS, as well as the SCIM API and client, Nubus has gained additional standards and APIs. The presentation explains the capabilities of these implementations and shows which use cases they can be applied to.

The “OX Connector” mediates user, group, and other mailbox information between Nubus and Open-Xchange in many large customer environments. In one of the recent updates, it has significantly improved its error handling. The presentation explains the new possible behavior, its operational benefits, and provides examples of how to use the included tools.

Compared to installation on UCS, Nubus for Kubernetes promises simpler and more targeted scalability. The development team demonstrates how this can be used to process well over 100 logins per second in internal load tests. The presentation describes the test setup and provides insights into the results.
