Digital Committee Work: Use Cases and Features for Politics and Public Administration
Organisations that are part of the politicial process as well as public authorities have particular requirements for video conferencing solutions to support digital collaboration. facilitating committee work, effective moderation, automatic logging, and audit-proof voting are some of the requirements that are difficult to implement with traditional video conferencing solutions. furthermore, there are special requirements when it comes to data protection, confidentiality, and digital sovereignty issues, and these can call into question the use of services that are based in foreign countries.
OpenTalk is a video conferencing solution that has been designed from scratch and specifically supports use cases that are relevant for public authorities and political organisations. opentalk was inspired by the video conferencing solution we previously developed for the city of berlin, and is currently in state-wide use in the german federal state of thuringia. there, opentalk offers many special features that were precisely tailored to meet the needs of public organisations.
In this workshop, we also want to learn about your own experiences and ideas for video conferencing: what are the important issues that need addressing in your organisation? which additional features would you like to see in the future? your input will be very valuable for us and shape the roadmap for the further development of opentalk.
